Over its more than 16 year history, the Foundation has:
Founded, staffed, and helped to fund an ongoing 1 year resident computer training program for disabled students at the Yardfon Vocational And Rehabilitation Training Center For The Physically Disabled at Mae Taeng, Thailand.
Published and distributed 8 self help books (2 in English, 2 bi-lingual and 4 in Thai). These books are distributed free of charge. They they include the only complete wheelchair user manual in the Thai language, as well as an originalbi-lingual manual on how to build low cost mobility aids using simple PVC.
In 1998, the Foundation established the Chiang Mai Disabled Center – a facility which is entirely managed by disabled persons in the center of Chiang Mai
In 1999, the Foundation established the Freedom Wheelchair Workshop which provides free mobility aids to poor and needy disabled persons living in rural and remote areas of north Thailand. As of July 2009, the workshop had given away more than 1700 mobility aids and provided home visit service to more than 2000 families.
The Foundation introduced and instigated disabled parking to the city of Chiang Mai, including the International Airport.
The Foundation has funded single and multiple surgical corrections for persons suffering from polio, clubbed foot, amputation, and vision impairment.
Over the years, the Foundation has helped to establish several disabled run businesses as well as securing disabled employment.
In 2008, the Foundation established Baan Piranan Home Care For Children With Spastic Cerebral Palsy (see www.baan-piranan.org)
Over the years, the Foundation has provided free computer, computer graphics, English language, and therapy training to a host of area disabled persons.
Provided wheelchair fabrication workshops to disabled organizations visiting from Laos, Cambodia, and Burma.
