THAI MASSAGE
Massage in Thailand has a very long tradition. But the purpose always remained the
same: to bring relaxation to the body and quietness to the mind.
At the Chiang Mai Disabled Center we can offer you three
different treatments:
- Traditional Thai body
massage (150 baht / hour)
- Thai oil massage (300 baht / hour)
- Thai foot
massage (200 baht / hour)
A
normal treatment takes one hour.
If you prefer more time, we offer 2 hours. Massage will be given in the air conditioned massage
room beside our center. We will
ask you to change into our special thin trousers and blouse (not for the foot
massage).
Nitchanan Yodya (age 34) is a legally
licensed and trained masseuse. She has diplomas from both the Chiang Mai University
and from the Origins Global College certificate massage course. Noi has additionally
taken practical training in physical therapy with teachers from Argentina and
Switzerland. Noi also provides private classes in Thai massage and reflexology
massage. Her English is excellent. 4 years ago, Noi was a career woman working
in a management position in a local restaurant. She had a husband, a child,
a house, a car, and a very bright future. Suddenly, and in only seconds, everything
in her life changed as a result of a tragic car accident wherein her husband
was killed and Noi's head and face were thrown against the windshield. Although
she has recovered from extensive face surgery, she still has glass dust embedded
in her eyes. In addition to her work as a Thai masseuse, Noi also assists all
of our wheelchair recipients with physical therapy advice and training.
